  • Demo — No demo scheduled.

  • Installfests — The next Installfest will be the first regular date (3rd Saturday) after the UC Davis fall quarter begins: Saturday, October 21st. However, an installfest may take place earlier in October, as well.

  • LERT — No news. As usual, send email to lert@lugod.org if you need emergency Linux help.

  • Library — No news. Send email to librarian@lugod.org if you'd like to borrow any books. (See www.lugod.org/library )

Other Business

  • Linux Picnic — Picn*x XV took place in Sunnyvale on Saturday. Around 300 people attended.

  • Financial Report — $20.00 in voluntary dues were collected.

  • Dylan Beaudette presented various Open Source tools for doing GPS and Cartography under Linux.
