Other Business

  • Linux Anniversary Picnic Reminder - LUGOD and other LUGs are organizing the 5th annual "Picn*x", to celebrate the Linux kernel's birthday. It will be on Sunday, August 14th in Sunnyvale, and free. Just RSVP.

  • 100 Schools, 100 Days - (No report)

  • LUGOD on "Chew On This" - (No report)

  • Reducing Meeting Schedule - Bylaws have been changed to be less specific regarding meeting times, allowing us to meet only once a month, if necessary, or on alternate dates. The change passed without objection.

    The new wording at the top of Article III ("Meetings"), Section 1 ("When and Where") is now: "Meetings will be held at least once per month, in the evening. Meeting dates will be agreed upon by root and sys at least one month in advance."

  • Financial Report - $18.00 in voluntary dues were collected.

  • Juan Lang gave an updated version of his talk from this year's WineConf in Stuttgart, Germany: "Wine and Samba Integration Possibilities."
