LUGOD at the 2008 Whole Earth Festival


What Is It?

The Whole Earth Festival (WEF) is "an annual student run event that brings over 30,000 people together to discover and celebrate sustainable and conscious living on Planet Earth." It is held in the 'quad' at UC Davis.



Dates for the 2008 Whole Earth Festival

The 2008 Whole Earth Festival took place on:

  • Friday, May 9th
  • Saturday, May 10th
  • Sunday, May 11th (Mother's Day)


LUGOD's Purpose at Whole Earth Festival:

  • To talk to people about Linux and Open Source, and get the word out about LUGOD and the other local LUGs
  • To hand out pamphlets containing information about LUGOD, Linux and Open Source (for example, these handouts)
  • To hand out CDs containing useful software:
