i've got more mp3's from obscure bands than i'll ever be able to recall.
some phenomenal, some lackluster, a lot is mediocre.  it's a problem trying to
remember what music out of the 100+ GB stood out when i listened to it.

i'd like to implement something where i can tag an album with comments like:

   hey, i really love this
   this is really talented jazz
   excellent dark and moody hip-hop loops
   great modal playing

my initial idea is to create some kind of xml format to be used in dot-files
placed within individual album directories and then write an application that
runs at night which performs some kind of indexing to facilitate searches.

i haven't fully cooked the idea yet.  still mulling.  was wondering if anyone's
heard of something similar so i don't have to DIM.
