You can with the SL-5500, too.  You just need to remember to bring a
microphone. ;^)

Either way, a wired mic will sound much better.  But for doing stuff
like voice-recording, when you don't want to have to carry a headset or
wires or any other oddities, the SL-5600 is the obvious winner. ;^)
