Senior Architect  Enterprise Testing Solution
Vimaya is an enterprise-centric resource and performance testing solutions
company poised for significant sustainable growth delivering compelling
value to its customers. We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified
Architect/VP of Engineering to join us and take ownership of the systems
architecture and technology.

This position is responsible for the development and integration of an
embedded Linux, Enterprise testing system. He/She will determine, qualify,
develop, and integrate embedded Linux solutions, boot-loaders, flash file
systems, and device drivers. The Architect must have practical experience in
integrating PMC/PCI devices on a Pentium platform. He/She must be able to
develop functional specifications, lead the design process and carry the
technology team through the implementation while providing technical
leadership to the team. Architect would also have experience in the
development and integration of embedded Linux kernels. He/She  will
determine, recommend, qualify, develop, and integrate Linux kernel patches
and device drivers. He/She  will manage the development and configuration of
Linux kernels for Pentium based platforms which will involve the periodic
update of the Linux kernels in conjunction with open source developments, as
well as the potential of custom kernel modifications to support new
hardware. He/She will also have responsibilities in creating and measuring
the performance of the resulting system and making revisions and changes as
appropriate to meet the pre-defined performance objectives. The Architect
must have significant, hands-on, experience in designing, developing and
deploying multi-threaded distributed systems.

Strong candidates will have a proven record of Linux kernel development as
well as a strong working knowledge of overall systems architecture,
operating systems design, TCP/IP networking design and development,
particularly in embedded implementations with a product oriented approach.
The architect must have the ability to work under aggressive schedules with
strong emphasis on quality. Candidates must be experienced in developing
software under configuration control. A solid basis of software engineering
skills and experience in all phases of software development, a good set of
debugging skills and knowledge of embedded development tools are required.
Broad knowledge and understanding of recent/on-going Linux kernel projects,
the Linux open source community, open source support model, discussion
forums, etc.

Candidates must have 8-10 years of experience in designing and implementing
software for systems and must be knowledgeable in digital hardware design
and implementation, particularly for embedded Linux systems. Good oral and
written communication skills required. A MSEE or MSCS is required; Ph. D is
a plus.
