[vox] CVBIG meeting Monday, July 15: PHP/Ming

The next CVBIG meeting will be held on Monday, July 15 from 5:30 - 6:30
PM at Sagres Discovery (see http://www.sagresdiscovery.com/contact.html
for directions and map). CVBIG meets immediately before, and right
around the corner from, LUGOD (www.lugod.org). The meeting will conclude
at 6:30 PM sharp, because several of us want to see Hans Reiser speak
(http://www.lugod.org/meeting/).

Speaker and Topic:

Eric Engelhard, Sagres Discovery: Graphical Display of Genomic Data with
PHP and Ming

The PHP Hypertext Processor (PHP) is a widely used scripting language
for generating dynamic web pages. Ming is a C library for generating SWF
("Flash") format movies, plus a set of wrappers for using the library
from C++ and popular scripting languages, including PHP. This talk will
focus on using PHP and Ming to create dynamic, graphical displays of
genomic data.
