A simple Google search will answer this one.  It'll even be on the first
page of results.

http://hazard.com/linux/pci.html -- assuming you're a 5610.. lscpi will
tell you it's model number.

there are some other useful links on the first page too if that doesn't do
it.

Once you get the hardware working, kppp is the modem app for newbies.
