[vox] GOBE Part II

I've been looking around in www.gobe.com

The GOBE Suite has been developed by the people that developed Claris Works
for Apple, whatever that is. They tout their image manipulation and text
wrapping around graphics.

The so-called "suite" is really one program that has wordprocessing,
spreadsheet, and image manipulation capability. So it's unlike both the
Microsoft/Corel model and the Star Office Model. In other words, the
spreadsheet and wordprocessing documents have the same file type.

The suite is issued under the GOBE Family License which allows you to put the
Windows and/or Linux versions on every computer in your home plus one
computer at work. They give you a certificate so that you can show your
employer that it is legal to install a work copy.

When the Linux version is released in the first half of 2002 it will cost
$124.95 to get the program with both the Windows and Linux installer.
However, you can get the Windows version now for $74.95. It comes with a
certificate. If you mail in the certificate, you'll get the Linux version
for free when it comes out.
