well, considering I coded Linux stuff for APC before leaving my wet and
green island to come to this dry and largely brown place, I'm going to go
right ahead and mention APC. The software is pretty easy to install and it
should work no hassle with  NUT in case you don't want to go with the
supplied PowerChute.
If you happen to get one of the USB devices, then give me a shout 'cos
that's what I was working on.
