[vox-tech] DNS problems on a Debian box

Hello,

I'd appreciate any help anyone can lend with respect to trouble shooting a
dns problem on a Debian box (Sarge).

Based on conversations and tests from the isp who owns the name servers, my
box is not sending any updates to the name servers ns1.cal.net and
ns2.cal.net and have not been since June 2005.

I have checked /etc/network/interfaces

and the correct ips are entered.

I've checked /etc/resol.conf

and that looks correct.

i've checked bind and set up db.files for the domain.

What else should I check?

I'd appreciate a short instruction on what files are used for the dns and
what programs cause the box to send updates to the nameservers.

Thanks,
