yes, very cool.  if you can make your DVD work, this would be very useful.
in fact, giving a short demo at the next lugod meeting would be even better
(giving us a fishing rod rather than the fish, so to speak).

i'd like to stop installing caldera until their boot up resembles debian a
little bit more than M$.  i don't mind graphical stuff, but they do really
strange stuff like having a boot-message of graphical data which writes SVGA
in a box.  god forbid we ever want to modify the boot up.  well, it happened
once.  and the guy was a real dick about it.  the system worked great, and
mike simons worked for almost **2 hours** on his computer (i had given up
trying to figure out what was going on during boot), but he lost the
graphical bootup.  and he was all like "gee, it looks broken to me".  he was
obviously miffed.   hmmph!

plus there were issues with compiling a custom kernel.  i'd rather keep
clear of that distro unless someone REEEEEEEEAAAAALLY wants it.
