[vox-jobs] [JOB] Front-End Developer/Drupal Themer - DC or NYC -50% Telecommute

This is a full time, 50% on-site, 50% off-site, salaried Front-End
Developer/Drupal Themer position located in Washington, D.C. or New York
City paying to $75,000 to $85,000 per year depending on experience +
benefits. Some telecommuting is allowed, but some on-site work expected as
well: 2 days on/3 days off or vice versa. US Citizens or Green Card holders
only please. Local candidates only. Full job/client details shared with
qualified applicants.

My client is a full-service digital agency. They are looking for an
experienced Front-End Developer/Drupal Themer to join its Washington, D.C.
or New York City office. The developer will report directly to the V.P,
Technical Services, and will be responsible for HTML, CSS, jQuery and PHP
development of websites for our clients using open-source platforms like
Drupal and WordPress. While some Drupal experience is preferred, they are
primarily looking for a strong generalist who is proficient in customizing,
theming and implementing Drupal applications small and large.

Responsibilities:

* Write good, clean, semantic code
* Cross-browser testing (IE 8+, Firefox, Chrome)
* Collaborate with a small team of developers and designers to create usable
websites for our clients
* Participate as part of the Information Architecture team
* Work with PHP, Drupal, WordPress and other platforms
* Follow current and upcoming technical trends and share ideas and
inspiration with the company
* Develop creative solutions to meet our clients' complex requirements

Position Requirements:

* Proficient in HTML, CSS and jQuery/JavaScript development
* Proficient in the Adobe Suite (CS6), especially Photoshop
* Experience with PHP 5
* Good knowledge of Drupal 6 + 7 theme development
* Experience with responsive/adaptive techniques for front-end development
* A bachelors degree in any subject is an advantage but not required --
demonstrable experience is weighed equally with formal training

Preferred Qualifications:

* Web design experience
* nix administration experience
* Working knowledge of version control systems, especially git
* Confident self-starter
* Great communication skills
* Initiative to solve problems on your own
* Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize accordingly
* Ability to work out of our D.C. or NYC office, at least 50% of the time
* Immediate or near-term availability

If you are interested in this job, please submit your resume and salary
requirements to opensourcestaffing|AT|gmail.com

Beauregard Gould
