Key Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to:Continuously drive the conception of
innovative programs and processes across the department and with the business
community whilst maintaining a big picture view of technological plans and their
benefits to business services
Cultivate an organizational culture that
provides for high performance, high morale, integrity, and teamwork among the
design engineers, implementation engineers and support engineers
Maintain
knowledge of IT enterprise architecture standards and practices, and ensure
these are consistently applied across the organization
Support the delivery
of a specific business unit and ISP
infrastructure projects within IT and
provide consultation for impact to business and application portfolios; ensure
alignment to corporate
infrastructure architectural standards and
strategy
Provide consultation for multiple areas of technology to project
efforts within various IT areas and/or external service providers
Ensure that
infrastructure architectures are flexible and support the business needs
by maintaining an understanding of business strategies and
infrastructure
capabilities
Identify existing IT software assets for new opportunities
through project and program involvement and provide direction for exploiting
current assets
Provide consultation for broad areas of technology to project
efforts within various IT areas and/or external service providers
Define the
infrastructure architectural standards and practices by applying industry
best practices and technology developments
Interact with contacts across the
enterprise for providing and receiving consultations
Act as a role model and
change agent by providing technical leadership to design engineers,
implementation engineers, support engineers, software architects, and
application developers
