Position Description:  

This position leads a small, focused team of engineers developing high performance network communication servers. Candidates should have expert level knowledge of modern software development methodologies and languages, and be comfortable with open source development. The position requires the ability to communicate clearly and work as a team with operations staff, game developers and other development and production groups. The candidate will have the knowledge required to build an operational IP network from scratch, including provisioning routers, firewalls and servers.    

Requirements:  

15+ years professional programming experience
3+ years managing small development teams
2+ years Linux programming
5+ years programming IP enabled appliations; expert level familiarity with IP/TCP/UDP and other common protocols
5+ years in C++ programming; templates; STL required
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent

Pluses:
Familiarity with network monitoring protocols and applications
Familiarity instrumenting application code
Experience developing networked and/or MMO games
Experience developing high performance SQL database applications
Experience developing HTTP/SOAP/XML based applications
