Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Compensation: $80-90K base, 15% target
bonus (50% company performance/50% individual-departmental), 1,000-1,500 stock

The Quality Assurance Engineer will be
responsible for testing new and existing features of web-based
services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Frequently:
Design, develop, and implement test suites for
Web based products and services
Execute tests, analyze results, report and
track product defects
Review project and user
documentation
Work closely with development engineers to meet
quality goals
Regularly:
Participate in review stages of the design and
development process
Identify and develop processes to improve
software quality
Assist customer support engineers with
troubleshooting problems
Occasionally:
Identify and develop processes to improve
software quality
Update quality process documentation and
procedures
Background and Preferred
Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other
related field, or equivalent experience
At least 5 years of Software Quality Assurance
experience in a commercial environment
Experience administering J2EE Application
Servers, WebSphere preferred
Experience writing scripts in a Linux
environment
Experience using source code control tools,
Perforce preferred
Minimum of 2 years SQL using a major RDBMS
(Sybase, Oracle, Informix, or SQL Server)
Good analytical and design
skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
skills
Minimum 1-year experience using/creating
automated testing tools for Web based products
Experience with performance testing a
plus
