OVERVIEW:
Are you more than a double-clicker? Do you understand the
intricacies of inter-dependant systems? This highly creative research
organization, a group within a global leader in the manufacturing of
semiconductors, is looking for someone who is passionate about their work and
is willing to think outside the box. In this challenging position, you
will be providing systems administration and engineering support for Linux and
Windows systems, as well as related network components. The group you
will be working with is a dynamic, tight-knit bunch that is encouraged to think

useful idea, and all while getting to “play” with technologies such
as VoIP, Wireless (802.11g, 802.11x, WiMax, etc.), Fedora Core, Active
Directory, LDAP, VPN’s, and more! Want to explore new ways to do
things? Have a "killer app" you've always wanted to try
out? All you have to do is perform your assigned tasks and you'll be
given the opportunity to investigate! Those tasks will include monitoring
our ticketing system, processing change requests, managing off-site systems
remotely when needed, assisting with break/fix activities, and maintaining
documentation to keep track of changes to the environment.
YOUR BACKGROUND:
- 5+ years
experience as a Linux Systems Administrator (RedHat and Fedora), including proficiency
with DNS, NTP, Web Servers, auto-mounting, NFS, Samba, LDAP, X-Windows, SSH
gateways, CVS, Sendmail
- 1+ year experience as a Windows Systems Administrator (2000/XP/2003),
including an understanding of Active Directory and Exchange Server
- Solid knowledge of Cisco switches and routers
- In-depth understanding of networking, including VLANs, WLANs, IOS
upgrades, and ACL-based firewall administration
