Description: The Geekcorps Mali Program Manager is a full-time
two-year position, based in Bamako, Mali, open to qualified
candidates of any nationality. Reporting to the Vice
President of Field Operations and supported by the Geekcorps
staff in Washington, DC, this position will be responsible for
the management and growth of the Geekcorps Mali program. Geekcorps Mali is an established program with staff,
volunteers, and facilities in Mali. Its main goal is to bring
technology solutions to community radio stations in Mali, to
increase the quality of information they have at their
disposal, and to encourage sharing of information and programs
between the radio stations. Due to its success, Geekcorps
Mali has an increasing portfolio of projects and partners that
include SchoolNet, Africare, and the University of Bamako.

Special Requirements: - Technology Leadership: a deep knowledge and
understanding of information and communication technologies,
especially Linux programming or administration, connectivity
(networking, wireless, satellite), and Free and Open Source
Software - Project Management: strong project management
experience managing multiple ICT-based projects and staff,
familiarity with USAID grants and administration requirements,
and advanced French verbal and written language skills -
Program Development: previous success in identifying and
developing winning ICT-based project opportunities and
proposals for USAID and other external funders

Salary Range: expat level
