I would suggest SQL-Ledger (http://www.sql-ledger.org/) for
the inventory and accounting stuff.  The stuff for contracts
and work crews sounds a bit more specialized.

I do have experience integrating custom apps with SQL-Ledger
but am tied up with other contracts for the next 2-3 weeks.
I could, however, find a bit of time on a consulting basis
to give pointers to someone else on this list or elsewhere.

I don't know anyone who believes that.  HTML is very popular
in Linux-land.   :-)
