Our client in San Jose is looking
for a Sr. Level (Level 3-4) Linux System Support.
7-8 years of Linux Experience in a Heterogeneous environment
with
Solid understanding of networking/distributed computing
environment concepts; NFS /NIS/DNS; have knowledge of routing concepts.
Solid understanding of a Linux -based operating system;
inter-process communication, devices and what device drivers do, file system
concepts etc.
solid understanding of networking/distributed computing
environment concepts; understands principles of routing, client/server
programming, the design of consistent network-wide file system layouts.
Ability to program in an administrative language (Tk,
Perl, a shell), to port C programs from one platform to another, and to write
small C or C# programs.
Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes
Strong interpersonal and communications skills; capable of
writing proposals or papers, making presentations to internal users/IT
