Subject: Field Engineer (DC and SF)

The leading information security company is looking for two field
engineers.

Here are the requirements:

Hard skills:

* UNIX (Linux, Solaris) skills. Advanced user to admin level. Knowledge
of software installation, patching, system troubleshooting, performance
tuning etc.

* Oracle DB. Knowledge of concepts and some commands; basic DBA skills
and database tuning knowledge would be ideal.

* Security. IDS and firewall basics, such as 'what do they do?', 'how
they work?', 'how they are deployed in production environments?', basic
knowledge of encryption algorithms

Soft skills (just as essential as the above):

* Pre-sales skills or at least good people skills
* Ability and desire to meet people and promote the product
* Ability to quickly fix software problems in high stress environment
* Must have ability to integrate products into a large or small
heterogeneous network.

Other position requirements:

* 50% travel (occasionally shooting up to 100%). Most travel is regional,
but international might occur as well.

Benefits:

* Generous salary (but not 'year-2000' generous) plus sales comission

* Gaining experience with lots of security products and their real-world
use

One person must be based on West Coast (San Francisco ideal) and
another in DC area. Active or expired clearance is nice to have for
the DC position and US citizenship is an absolute must. No relocation
will be provided, however, qualified candidates from nearby locations
will be considered.

Recruiters, please ignore this. No fees will be paid.

If you are uncomfortable sending your resume to anonymous email
address, just send me an email with brief info and I will respond
from my corporate email address. We just don't want our competitors to
know what skillset we are hiring.

Best regards,
AC
