[vox-announce] Reminder: Feb. 1 Linux Users' Group of Davis:Typography & PostScript

Reminder! LUGOD meets tomorrow night (Tue. Feb. 1st) in Davis at 6:30pm
at the Davis Public Library:

  Davis Public Library
  315 East 14th St.
  Davis, California 95616

The topic will be: Typography & PostScript
presented by: Micah Cowan

PostScript is a device-independent page description language used
primarily in electronic and desktop publishing. Prior to the
introduction of PostScript, printers were designed to print character
output given only text as input. As dot matrix and laser printers
introduced 'raster' graphics to printing, PostScript stepped in to
allow text and graphics to be mixed on the page.
